Soil Blocks

Our organic garden plants are raised in soil blocks which means there is less plastic waste involved and a greater volume of soil available for the plant. We find that soil blocks grow really great plants! That is why we use them for our all our CSA garden transplants.

Packaging

Because there is no container, these plants are a bit messier than potted plants and we ask that when you come to pick up your plants you bring a container for them. Old plant trays and pots can be reused or you can just use any small cardboard box or plastic tote you have on hand. We will have paper plates and some spare trays available in case you forget.

Pick-up Days

There will be two plant pick up days this year. The Kingston pick-ups are outdoors at Mulberry Waldorf School at 25 Markland St on Tuesday, April 25 and Tuesday, May 23 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Plants can also be picked up at the farm on Howe Island between Wednesday and Sunday of the week of the plant sales. (Please let me know when you are coming so I have it ready when you arrive.)

Unless otherwise noted in the chart below, these pick up dates coincide with the good planting dates for the plants available.

At the pick-up days we will have an assortment of other plants available for sale but ordering ahead allows you to plan your garden in advance and better ensures that you get what you need.

Order Deadlines

As a guideline, please place your order by March 26 for April 25 pick-up and by April 23 for May 23 pick-up. You can order after that date, but your order will be subject to availability. In general, the earlier you order the more likely it will be that we will have what you requested.
